**Tie Dye Fun**

This craft is cheap, easy and fun for all ages!

Tie Dye Paper

Materials Needed:

markers

coffee filters

small cup for water

old newspaper

Instructions for tie-dye paper

1. flatten out your coffee filter

2. color it, scribble on it, make a pattern or just slap on some color...
however you like to do it, color your filter with markers

3. after it's colored, fold it in half, so it's a half circle, and then fold it again so it's
a quarter circle, and two more half folds will make it a long triangle

4. holding your triangle by what would be the outside edge of the filter,
dip the point of the triangle into the cup of water

(tip- depending on how much you want your color to spread you'll want
to be careful not to dip it too long, or it'll just turn all brown)

5. after dipping quickly point the wet pointy side up, so gravity will help some of
the water spread to the outer edges of the filter

6. carefully (as not to rip the wet paper) unfold your filter and marvel
at the beautiful colors!

7. set on newspaper to dry

8. use your beautiful paper as gift wrap
for a small present, window decoration, decorative wrap for
party goodies, paper flowers, etc. etc. etc!

in the end using your scissors (a job for mom or dad!)

(another job for mom or dad)
